High Temperature Valve Castings for Industrial Use

WC6 (ASTM A217 WC6), as a 1¼Cr - ½Mo alloy cast steel, has become a core material selection in power station boiler systems due to its excellent adaptability to high-temperature working conditions. It is particularly suitable for critical parts such as superheaters, reheaters and high-temperature valves with a maximum temperature of 593℃ (1100℉). During the operation of power station boilers, the superheater needs to be in continuous contact with high-temperature steam, and the temperature is usually stable at 500-550℃. The 1.0-1.5% chromium element in WC6 can form a stable oxide film, effectively resisting steam oxidation corrosion and avoiding safety hazards caused by thinning of the tube wall due to oxidation. The creep resistance property endowed by 0.44-0.65% molybdenum can prevent the plastic deformation of superheater tubes under long-term high temperature and high pressure, ensure the stability of the steam flow cross-section, and guarantee the thermal efficiency of the boiler…
