2507 Duplex Stainless Steel Coil or Strip

Product Description 2507/2205 duplex stainless-steel coil/strip combines roughly 50 % austenite and 50 % ferrite in a single microstructure, delivering twice the yield strength of 316L while offering superior chloride-pitting and stress-corrosion-cracking resistance. 2205 (UNS S32205/S31803): 21–23 % Cr, 4.5–6.5 % Ni, 2.5–3.5 % Mo, PREN 34–36; cold-rolled strip 0.05–3 mm × 4–1 500 mm, hot-rolled coil 3–12 mm. 2507 “super-duplex” (UNS S32750): 24–26 % Cr, 6–8 % Ni, 3–5 % Mo, 0.24–0.32 % N, PREN ≥ 40; gauges down to 0.03 mm with ±0.02 mm slit-width tolerance.Both grades are solution-annealed at 1 020–1 100 °C and water-quenched to restore phase balance and dissolve intermetallics, meeting ASTM A240, EN 1.4462 (2205) and EN 1.4410 (2507). Product Advantages High strength-to-weight ratio: 2205 yields ≥ 450 MPa, 2507 ≥ 550 MPa, allowing thinner gauges and 30–40 % weight reduction versus 316L while maintaining pressure ratings . Superior chloride corrosion resistance: 2205 survives…
